I had my first haircut with Steve last weekend. I’d requested a trim as I’m keen to maintain my hair length and it has been almost 5 months since my last tidy-up. Steve was intuitive and meticulous with my hair, he checked the length to be cut as well as whether or not I wanted the edges skimmed before taking any action. There was great care taken with the whole process which was impressive. The cut did not feel rushed at all as I have experienced with other hairdressers and has, at times, led to shorter and wonky feathers on more than one occassion (at my dismay). The right amount of time was taken and I didn’t feel like I was a chore or number. Steve genuinely enjoys his work and everything went smoothly. I was put at ease straight away and had a fab friendly chat throughout without that forced feeling of conversation that you can sometimes experience elsewhere. I’m very pleased with the outcome and I’ve already receieved compliments on the cut with being told it’s been the best yet. Steve was also at hand to provide hair care tips to keep it in good condition, his attention to detail is deeply appreciated and I shall definitely be returning as he’s 100% worth the wait.

I’ve been cutting my hair here for years, it’s my go to place in Manchester. Not only because the staff are lovely and professional, but also because it’s more than a hair salon, it’s a safe space. Steve has created a lovely environment where you can feel safe and cared for. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or your gender, everyone is welcomed and celebrated.
As an autistic person I always struggled going to the hairdressers, it can be overwhelming so I appreciate they do walk ins, so I can go whenever works for me. The prices are decent and accessible. You might have to wait a bit during busy periods like the weekend but it’s ALWAYS worth the wait!
Visited here previously and received one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had so was keen to visit again when I needed another haircut. Showed the same person who cut my hair the same picture of what I got last time and well…obviously each haircut turns out slightly different but what I received was objectively not what I asked for and does not look good at all, I’ve had to cut random bits of hair off that was still sticking out myself. Noticed whilst I was there there was only one person cutting hair and a queue had formed so maybe they were rushing to get through everyone, either way I’m left £30 poorer and with a pair of clippers in my hand wondering if I should just shave it off.
Honestly horrified at this place! My brother came in for a haircut today, showed a picture of how he wanted it cutting and styled, woman did not even cut his hair like the picture at all, just hacked at it. He’s been growing his hair out for years, it was his confidence in life now this so called barber has took all his confidence away!!! I picked him up after his appointment and he was in tears!
Went in for a touch up and a small trim and asked the guy for JUST the edges cut as i wanted to keep the length of my hair and he decided not to do that and cut off the majority of the length without checking if it was okay with me. i usually go here everytime for my haircut but i will make sure to avoid certain people here. Completely changed my style, went in with a mullet and came out with pretty much short back and sides.
