Was really disappointed with the shop – it’s gone majorly downhill in the last 8 years since I went in. It feels drab, empty, the staff look totally dejected or stare rudely – probably because they’re bored from the place being so empty. Selection of brands was really disappointing – looked more like a TKMaxx with all the items on sale at one side of the men’s section.

Perhaps the women’s clothes section is still okay, but the bottom floor and the mens – and the screeching escalators – isn’t the experience it was in years gone by. When you’re spending good money on clothes in store, you expect a better experience. Was happy to get out of there.

Left me wondering when it will close.

I wouldn’t normally go to this shop, but my brother wanted something so in we went. I needed to go to the toilet. I’m sorry it’s closed, you’ll have to go to the top floor. Up we went. The access to the toilets including the disabled one was down a extremely narrow corridor if you can call it that. You couldn’t drive round the corner, luckily I can walk a short distance & my scooter is a lightweight one with a good turning circle, I had to physically manoevre the scooter or I wouldn’t have got round. I sat outside the disabled loo for over 5 minutes. There’s a weird system where there’s a red light on to tell you if someone is in there & I couldn’t make it open.
As I can walk short distances, I abandoned the scooter outside and went into the ladies toilets.
Then we got the lift down to the ground floor, getting out of the lift I had to reverse out into a very narrow area with very steep stairs! Really?? That’s not a safe thing to do.
They very obviously only expect people not to need to use a disabled toilet or a lift. I’m totally disgusted with how it made me feel like I didn’t matter.
I hadn’t been to a Harvey Nicholls shop before and after that experience I certainly wouldn’t bother again.

Today I am visiting from Doha – Qatar & would like to leave feedback on my amazing experience with the lovely Danielle Chalmers at Harvey Nichols Manchester city centre. She was soo helpful & kind, super knowledgable about all the perfume scents & notes. She knew exactly what I was looking for & asked all the right questions to help me pick the perfect perfume!
Such a pleasure being assisted by her & I am very happy with my shopping, gift wrap & experience altogether.

    Thank you 💗

I always make a point of calling into the store, light airy feel to the place, layout makes it easy to navigate around each department. Staff are always courteous and helpful, and appear just at the right time when needed! I like the small but carefully stocked food department on the top floor. Window displays are awesome!!!!

What’s happened to Harvey Nichols in Manchester? No atmosphere needs a massive revamp. The store has not been changed since it’s opened. They’ve got rid of the food hall on the top floor which is stupid. Why don’t they have the Sunday lunch? Like they do in Harrods for £12 in a box you’d absolutely be so busy. I just feel like it’s somebody needs to come in and just change the whole floors . Yeah, I don’t know. I’m just very disappointed. It’s just a destination. I just don’t go to. I’d rather go to Selfridges because it’s just not anything special to go to anymore.
