Why have I never reviewed this wonderful place before?? I’ve been a client at Freddie’s now for three years and have NEVER come away less than delighted! Every aspect of the service afforded at Freddie’s is sublime! Professional , knowledgeable, friendly- and so supremely good at their craft!! Nick has always made me feel like a million dollars when I walk out of the salon! Superb cut and colour every time! Thank you to all at Freddie’s
After 30 years of going to the same hairdressers in Manchester I finally decided to go nearer home. Freddie’s in Rawtenstall has a very good reputation and booked in with Matt. The whole experience was fantastic, all the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Matt is a superb hairdresser, and I could not have been happier, I will even go to say I was so thrilled I booked all my appointments till December 2025. Thanks so much for a great experience.
The single star rating is no indication of the way that Matt has been cutting and colouring my hair, which is a definite 5 stars!
However the rating is based on the way I was spoken to on the phone today when I rang to make an appointment. (An online booking system would be much better!)
At first I spoke to someone who struggled to find me an appointment. Then she passed me onto Freddie. I was made to feel stupid because I hadn’t rung sooner to make an appointment before Christmas. I should have known they were getting booked up as there was a sign in the salon saying so! When I tried to suggest trying to make an appointment after I finish work one day, I was laughed at and told they don’t work that late.
I really felt like he did not want me to make an appointment and that it was a great inconvenience me suggesting such a thing! No customer service whatsoever, but unhelpful.
So, unfortunately I’ll be going somewhere else, a lot more affordable with an easier booking system and where my custom is valued.
First visit to Freddie’s today. I had a consultation with Matt on Monday and was very impressed with the time and effort he spent making sure he understood what I wanted and also what was achievable with my sad, chemo hair.
I left the salon today walking on air! First time in my life, I haven’t left a salon fiddling unhappily with my new cut.
The colour is to die for, embracing my natural grey for the first time, cut is beautiful, and suits my face perfectly.
I can’t praise Matt enough.
The rest of the staff were all friendly and kind.
Special mention to Pheonix, my shampooist who also made sure I was kept happy with magazines and mugs of tea.
I was there for 3hrs and they were busy the whole time so I strongly suggest booking ahead.
Thanks Jade for an excellent hair cut. On holiday so easy to keep looking good-I just let it dry in the sun !! Thanks again you just got it right
