Bex Louise Hair Artistry

I had a very disappointing experience at Bex Hair Artistry. Here’s a summary of what happened:

1. Unfulfilled Promises: During the consultation, i explained I had black brown box dye on my hair. Bex took a strand of my hair to test the bleach and said she would let me know the results via text, but I never heard back.

2. Late Arrival: I didn’t listen to my gut and still went to the appointment which Bex arrived late for.

3. Poor Communication: at the beginning of the appointment I tried to explain that I wanted a dark chocolate balayage, but she kept cutting me off and didn’t let me fully explain what I wanted. I showed her the inspiration photo (the first image uploaded).

4. Unprofessional Behavior: During the bleaching process, she shared inappropriate details about her personal life, including her sex life and her relationship with her baby’s father who’s cheated on her eight times. This made me extremely uncomfortable.

5. Ignored Concerns: When the bleach was removed, I noticed my hair was very light for what I wanted and expressed my concern. Bex seemed agitated and brought in another stylist, both of whom assured me it would look fine after toning. It wasn’t—it turned out an orangey blonde/caramel when I had stressed that I wanted to stay brunette. (Photos attached before and after pictures)

6. Overcharging: Despite booking for a full head of highlights (advertised at £86), I was charged £100. This was more than the advertised price, even though it wasn’t a full head.

7. Unprofessional Contact: After I expressed my dissatisfaction, I booked another appointment through Fresha to fix the issue, but she contacted me at 1 a.m. on a Friday to try to arrange an appointment the next day, which I found extremely unprofessional. (Receipts attached)

8. Damaged Hair: After the poor experience, I consulted another stylist, who informed me that my hair had been over-processed. Even two months later, she advised against using bleach due to the damage caused and the breakage. I ended up switching to this new stylist, who was able to correct the colour and give me the colour I wanted.

9. Refund Refused: I contacted Bex to request a refund due to the poor service and damage, but she refused. We had a conversation over text about this for a while where she disputed everything. (Receipts attached)

Overall, my experience left me with damaged hair, out-of-pocket expenses for both the botch job and correction. I would not recommend Bex Hair Artistry to anyone.

Never been to this hair salon before I had an appointment yesterday as my hair needed correcting. I haven’t had my done for a long time due to covid.Loved the service staff are friendly and welcoming I love my hair now will definitely be booking again.

Again amazing! This time little loz did my hair, a young girl learning, although you would never tell, she did an amazing job! Becky has some fantastic talents with hair and she is clearly passing her skills on as the young apprentices there are killing ittt!!!! Thanks girls, see you again soon!
