Amazing service! Was in pain with my toe at weekend and they fit me in and sorted it out for me so quickly! Would highly recommend to anyone. Lovely staff and very thorough. Just had a very positive experience with a podiatrist at Ashton foot clinic. I was only £38 for exercise advice and a pedicure. Apparently I’m doing all the right exercises for my Plantar fasciitis just not enough. I’ve got a plan from her and she said if I don’t feel the benefit after 4 weeks book another appointment and they will record my gait when I walk. They can then make me some customised insoles.
I have used this service for over 10 years and found it extremely helpful as I have not been able to reach my feet for over 10 years. I have to take extra care of my feet due to being diabetic so I don’t mind paying to get my nails cut. Unfortunately, it appears one of my toes was injured on my last appointment. I have had sudden sharp pain when my nails were being cut on numerous occasions and just put it down to part of the process. The recent appointment however, involved a particular sudden pain that made me recoil but I didn’t like to complain. Because the toe became very painful over the next few days, I asked my wife to look at it. She found a small injury covered in dry blood and advised me to get it looked at. I contacted the clinic via their website on Friday evening but on Saturday the toe had got worse and the pain was making it difficult to walk on it. I phoned the service, as I didn’t have much faith in the website, and left a message. I was called back by a member of staff but my relief soon faded as she seemed unsympathetic and dismissive of my concerns and explained the had no space to take a booking. I explained that I would only need someone to have a Quick Look and give me advice on what to do but the best she could offer was an appointment at the end of the following week. I explained this was too long to wait because of the risk of infection but she was not moved. She gave me no advice but agreed to pass my concerns onto the manager at my request. I waited for a callback but nothing came. I gave them all day Monday to contact me but have heard nothing. I will not be using this service again and will be considering informing the cqc about their poor duty of care.
