I’ve been going to Leah Marie’s for years and I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. I’ve had multiple colours, highlights, extensions fitted and every time I leave the salon I couldn’t be any happier with the results.
Such friendly service and an amazing team!

I’m really not one to leave a bad review but I’m mortified with my trip to this salon.
Firstly I was told on the phone that my hair would cost £55-£65, I’ll come back to this.
I asked for platinum blonde hair, I’m already bleach blonde anyway so I didn’t think it would be very difficult, plus I’ve seen all the hair transformations on social media from other salons and expected no problems. Leah said it was fine and proceeded to do my hair.
I came to pay and she told me it was £85! (£20-£30 more expensive than I was quoted) I was really surprised and she told me that it was because it was a colour change, I paid and left.
I got home and realised my hair was 3 different colours, blonde on top with blue stripes and grey at the bottom (as seen in the picture). I phoned her up and she was lovely about it and told me to come back in that Friday for her to fix it. I said great and sent her 2 images of platinum blonde hair off the internet and said “will my hair look like this, this is what I wanted and as long as it looks like this I’m happy”. She said yes, it would look like the pic and that it would be easier to do anyway as it had already been bleached.
I went in that day, had my hair done told her it was fine as I didn’t know what else to say, and left. My hair is now yellowy. At least it isn’t 3 different colours, but it is the same colour as what I first went in with on my first trip to the salon.
£85 for a colour change to platinum hair and I’ve ended up with the same colour hair (a darkish blonde) as I went in with, which is now being nursed with conditioning masks as I had to have it bleached twice in one week.
I’ve never been so upset with my hair, I’ve been trying to grow it long for years, I was finally getting there with it and now I’m going to need a few inches coming off it because the bleach has absolutely destroyed my hair, is brittle, dry and very bitty round the ends. It’s frizzy around the front and I have little spikey pieces of breakage around my hairline that look horrendous – Leah told me because of the bleach she uses there would be no damage to my hair, well it’s destroyed.
I must add, if I would have been told at any time that she was not capable of taking my hair platinum I wouldn’t have booked the appointment and it wouldn’t have been a problem, but I was told on several occasions that it would be fine.
It really is a shame that my hair turned out like this as Leah really is a lovely person, she just couldn’t do my hair.

I’ve uploaded images so you can see, the one in the black t shirt was before I went in for any treatment. The stripey ones are the first time I left the salon (after 1 bleach). And the one in the grey t shirt was after both bleaches – as seen it’s the same colour I first went in with. The bitty breakage photos are also when I last came out.
I’ve also put an image of platinum hair on for reference to show what I wanted.

    Edit from reply:
I never asked for highlights, I requested platinum both on the phone when I booked, and at my patch test.
From images: My hair clearly has blue stripes in it and the broken spikes can be seen – I haven’t taken a pair of scissors to it for effect. You can see my hair is the same colour before and after – with the exception of some awful yellow tones.
Yes, I was booked in again for free, as my hair was wrong. Honestly I shouldn’t have paid for it in the first place, a complete waste of £85 and I’m now spending more trying to repair the damage.
Also, I’ve already put pictures on of ‘your work’, in salon lighting it doesn’t look as bad. So I said I was happy until I got home, saw the mess and called you. Another salon will get this right, as they would have done first time round – it will not be due to the ‘hard work’ you’ve done.
Finally, I’d appreciate you not disregarding my review as false. I’ve waited a while to post this trying to see past what’s happened which I can’t because I have to look at my hair everyday. From the pictures I’ve posted it’s very clear that I am correct.
Also, don’t DM me again, I’ve nothing else to say.

Leah was so welcoming, she listened to what I wanted and explained what she needed to do to achieve the look I was after. She also cut my 2 year olds hair and I’m amazed to say my daughter actually sat there and let her do. Thank you Leah, we can’t wait for the next appointment.

I had my hair done by Lucy I had a wolf cut with red at the front and red underneath with a slightly darker brown on top. It was great friendly service and I will definitely be going again.
