I’ve been coming to Artisan for about two years now and I’m shocked I’ve never wrote a review before.
From the service, to staff, colour’s and cuts, they have been brilliant (From Barbara and Lois) and it really is a little gem. As a 38yr millennial post London, I didn’t feel like I fitted in with the Manchester hotspots anymore ha! So I had to find all new ones and artisan have always been amazing.
They book me in when they can, they are value for money, and do really stylish cuts and colour’s. I get compliments all the time on my hair (colour and cuts) but my most recent cut has had everyone complimenting. Thankyou for being reliable and safe place to get my hair done and for making a millennial feel pretty again xxx
Hands down the best hair salon in Bromley Cross. The salon owner has years of experience and makes you feel so safe and secure during your appointments. She explains everything well and isn’t there to turn a quick profit like other salons. She has your best interests at heart. The only person I trust to do my hair from now on. Thank you!
I rang Artisan after a mishap with my hair (my granddaughter attempted to cut my pony tail off while I was asleep and won!!) 🙈When I explained what had happened Barbara, the owner, fitted me in that day…
I went for my appointment and was greeted with a smile from Barbara and the two young staff. I felt totally at ease immediately. I don’t really like going for a haircut, it makes me anxious… This day any feelings I had just disappeared..
Barbara’s Junior trainee Abbie, washed my hair and I can honestly say it was just wonderful, she massaged my scalp all over and I could’ve stayed there for hours. Abbie was just delightful, she’s a little gem and just perfect for hairdressing. I couldn’t believe it when she told me she was only 16.!!. her people skills are amazing… 😁😁

When I sat down waiting for Barbara Abbie made me a lovely cup of tea… Barbara then talked me through what she suggested… (I had previously coloured my hair and the grow out was half way down my hair, it just looked awful… ) She listened to me and between us it was decided that all the old colour would be cut out and I would embrace my greyness…
The finish is lovely and I’m so happy, if I wasn’t staying nearby in a hotel, I would without a doubt become a regular… I live too far away… If I’m ever in the area, needing a haircut, I’ll be back…

To be honest, I hate going to salons because I have very fine & damaged hair which makes me very anxious when I need to visit them.
I booked an appointment here to see Barbara the owner of this salon. She was so lovely she listened to what I had to say and I told her about my previous experience with other salons I used in the past. She advised me fully on what she thought and would do for me to get my hair looking healthier.
What a relief! Someone who knew what I wanted and needed so much plus she put a plan together for me to stick to in order to reach my goals
All the salons I have used before have either charged me lots of money or not done what I wanted and ended up doing their own thing, plus one even damaged my hair causing it to snap so i’m right back to square one again. This time I did it right. I had consultations with four different salons for my hair and surprisingly they all told me different things, two told me that a weave would be good for my hair, which I already knew it would not, one advised me to use bonds as extensions, which from my previous experience I would not use those bonds again. One Salon was going to charge me a fortune and one salon even suggested I get a wig! One extreme to another really. I made sure I spent time thinking about what each salon told me and I’m really glad I chose Artisan Hair Salon in Bromley Cross in Bolton because she understood I was really anxious through my past experience and she listen to everything I told her and she even told me at every stage what she was going to do all which helped me to totally relax plus even the young girl who worked there was so lovely and caring with all her cups of tea.
Today having experienced their expertise and customer service I would highly recommend them to anyone

Barbara used to cut my hair in the late ’80’s/ early’ 90’s and I found her again on Instagram by chance. I had a consultation with her and at the appointment my hair was cut exactly as I wanted it. Barbara is a fantastic hairdresser who I would highly recommend and lucky for me she is just up the road from where I live now.
