I was at my wits end trying to find a hair salon near where I was staying and then all of a sudden on Google Maps, I discovered Dean’s at Gorton, just a short bus ride away.
I made an appointment and was asked to pay 50% of the very inexpensive £44 as a deposit.
I was more than happy to do this.
The day I arrived, and I was greeted by a very friendly staff …offered a seat to wait the short while until my appointment time and asked if I would like a coffee.
I watched in fascination as Dean did a young lady’s very long hair in foils.
I had never seen this done before even though a couple of my daughters have their hair done. Dean was very professional, and amazingly quick.
I’m still glad I have short hair.
Just out of interest, I asked how much it cost to do these foils and when he told me £40 I was totally amazed because my daughters pay $400 or more in Australia which is
The equivalent of £200.
I was more than happy with my haircut …with the price, and also the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the salon.
I would go back any time.

I have been coming to Dean since I was a little girl! I am now 27 years old and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dean and his team are absolutely amazing, I trust each and everyone one of them. They have all been there more or less my entire life. From schools, to work, my wedding day and now I’m pregnant with my first baby. I love sharing the news with them. I had a fantastic experience at Dean’s Hair Studio. Dean offered amazing customer service—friendly, professional, and really attentive to what I wanted. He did a great job with my hair, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. All of the staff were warm and friendly, and Dean himself is a very funny guy, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality work and a welcoming atmosphere!
I recently visited this salon after my mum Foz recommended it, and I’m so glad I did! Dean and the whole team were amazing the vibes were unmatched, and I felt completely relaxed the entire time. I had a colour and cut done, and I was a bit nervous at first because I didn’t want my hair to get ruined, but the opposite happened I absolutely love it!
Everyone was so friendly and easy to talk to, and I never felt nervous asking questions about my hair. You can tell they really care about what they do and want you to leave happy.
Overall, such a great experience I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great hairdresser!
This hair salon is my favourite place. The atmosphere is always amazing. The staff is helpful, cheerful and affectionate. The hairdressers know what they doing and the prices are reasonable. Dean and Michelle are great. Love it! You deserve a five star review!
